Abstract
This chapter reports findings relating to tourist expectations and experiences in the central and western coastal and mountainous areas of County Mayo, based on survey work which has not been published previously in the detail presented here. It is based on personal views furnished by the respondents and relates to the period prior to the economic recession and therefore forms a comparative base for future research.
