Abstract
This paper contributes the discussion about applying DeLone & McLean success model. Since its introduction in 1992, the model has been widely used and evaluated. In this paper the model is used as a descriptive tool in evaluating a virtual learning environment. The study relies on prior research and does not question the measures. Instead, the model contributes the evaluation and describes the virtual environment. Contrary to earlier use of the success model in virtual learning systems, this study focuses on degree-level studies. The paper shows that the model can be used as a descriptive tool because the six dimensions offer possibilities to explore and describe the environment from several approaches.
