Abstract
This national study on gender and music in Ireland, this project explores how gender might impact a career as a musician within the contemporary music industry. This report relates the experiences of musicians using statistics alongside first-hand narrative accounts and identifies the commonalities and differences in experiences related by musicians of different gender identities.
